Shirts! Events! And more. . .

t-shirtWay Cool new Mountain greyhound shirts are in!  They are not only an amazing print but they are top quality and made in the USA by the greenest T-Shirt company in the world. They use highest quality 100% cotton of which 80% or more is grown in the USA.  They are pre-shrunk and run a little long, which I love.  We have a limited number of them in sizes from small to 2XL. They were expensive for us to purchase but I loved them and did it anyway.  So we have to sell them for $30 which still just gives us a couple dollars of profit.  But I know you’ll love them as much as I do. They go on sale at the kennel starting on Saturday morning.  Supplies are limited and will be on first come, first serve basis. (Please do not call me to “save” one for you.  I really cannot do it and it isn’t fair.)

Well, it’s official.  I am sorry to say that we will not be participating in the Renaissance Festival in Quiet Waters Park this year.   We’ve gone for years and we truly loved it but they wanted a weekly fee plus a clean up fee from us.  Although I spoke directly with the boss, they did not choose to waive the fees and we simply couldn’t afford it.  That frees up a big chunk of time for us and that feels pretty cool, too!  Our application is in for the Pompano Seafood Festival (April 26 – 28) and hopefully the sun will shine on it in their new location this year!

Also coming up – details will follow very, very soon, but we are doing a FoG “FUNdraiser” party on Thursday, March 14th, at the Royal Pig Pub & Kitchen, 350 E. Las Olas Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale, 6 pm to 8 pm.  We are invited to bring the dogs to the pub!  We’ll have tickets on sale soon which will give you complimentary drinks, appetizers and we’ll do some raffles – maybe goodie bags.  Looks like a greyhound costume contest, too.  Be sure you’re signed up for our Yahoo Group (that’s our email contact list) so you don’t miss any information!

Our big white dog-van has been in the shop for the last three days for transmission work.  We really need to make this the year of the new truck.  I have some ideas for a comprehensive promotion to raise the money but I need some help.  With everything else I do, finding an uninterrupted block of time to build a new promotion is hard for me. But we need a new van.  So if you are a good writer and could tackle laying out a brochure (or 2) please get with me.  I find it works well for me if someone lays out a piece and then I go in and tweak it.  It kind of forces me to focus on it.  Email me if you can really dedicate a little time to this.

See you at the kennel!  It’s going to be a GREYT Weekend
