Renaissance Festival – It’s here!

>Renaissance Festival – It’s here! One of our highlight events of the year is just around the corner. Please consider working a shift at this wonderful event. Not only will you help greyhounds get into good homes, bring in some donation funds that we so sorely need, but you’ll get to go play at the 16th century festival when you’re not working the booth! For more information on the event itself, see Our tent is on the road into the festival so we get to see all of the costumes and characters up close and personal. We take a good tent and you can bring your greyhounds. It’s a festival worth traveling for. We will be there every weekend on Saturday and Sunday and even President’s Day. First weekend is February 13 & 14 and President’s day, February 15. I could use help on Friday Feb. 12th if anyone is available to help me set up the tent and get us moved in. Each weekend has a theme and you guys will want to be sure to get your names in to work for Wenches Weekend! (Personally, I like the Pirates.) Show hours are 10 AM to Sunset. Shifts will be broken into 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 7 PM. Please let me know if you can volunteer at the booth and if you will be bringing a dog or two. Be aware that when the show opens at 10 AM, they set off a small cannon and it can be scary for the dogs. They have done the cannon for closing too but they don’t always. We’ll have crates there and will be able to dogsit for you if you want to go into the show when you are done volunteering or before your shift. See you there!
