Quiet Waters Park Pool Party 2014

Quiet Waters Park Pool Party 2014

It looks like the big news for the weekend will be the pool party for the hounds. There shouldn’t be any football or baseball conflicts, the Marlins were done a couple months ago, UM is playing on Thursday this week, and apparently the Dolphins haven’t started at all yet, so there should be no sports conflicts at least. In case you didn’t know, we’re having a hound pool party at Quiet Waters Park this Saturday. It will be a ‘greyhounds only’ gathering from 3 o’clock until 4 o’clock. We did it last year and it was a blast. The water is shallow, there’s plenty of fenced in room for the hounds to let off steam, and it was fun to watch the hounds and humans slashing around. The pool area is cement and a skinned knee is a possibility, but the water is shallow and refreshing. It will be an animal weekend for the park, with different animal groups and vendors there all day Saturday and Sunday. Our collar girl Lynne will be there Saturday and you are welcome to come out early and check it out and/or sit with Michelle and Jerry for a while, we will have a booth there. Our website has the address and all the information concerning the party.

In kennel news, Wasabi has been adopted out; she’ll be living with Mom, Dad, human sister, and a Yorkie sister, so we wish her and her new family all the best for a long loving and healthy life. The deal for Minnie, the smaller of the two puppy girls, fell through; she’s still regaining her health, so she’ll be with us until she gets well enough to go to a real home. In her place, Lady was adopted out and she’ll be going to her new home with a greyhound sister, so also wish her and her new human and doggie sister the best and a long loving, and healthy life together. That leaves us currently with six boys and two girls available for adoption. Lexi and Pepper are the two girls, both two years old, and Lexi is a beautiful rare blue fawn girl. The other six guys are Otto, Charlie, Rocky, Kingsley and MaxLee. You can find out all about any of them on the website or by contacting Michelle or Jerry. If you are interested, it’s also entirely possible that we can bring them to your house to meet you, so if that rings your bell, you can also find out more about that by contacting us at the website or by phone.

That’s just about it for this week unless something comes in late. Don’t forget the pool party on Saturday, anticipating a lot of fun, and the weather forecast is showing a break in the afternoon rain pattern of late, so hopefully it will be a beautiful weekend.
