John’s Happy Tales Report
9/26/16 Mostly Happy Tales From Inside And Around The FoG Kennel.

Happy end of September, looking forward to October and the rush to the end of the year. Don’t forget, coming up, October 9th, 3 P.M. at Quiet Waters Park, the big Splash Party. Information and details are on the website, but it’s basically the Sunday after next, we get the water park all to ourselves and the last time the hounds had a great time and so did most of us. Five bucks admittance for the hounds, almost a full hour of wet fun for the four legs. It’s worth it to just come and watch the crazies run wet and wild. Also, this Saturday we will be at the Pet Supermarket on University Blvd. just north of Sunrise Boulevard. Hours are from 1O A.M. until 2 P.M., stop by if you’re in the neighborhood, the store staff treats us like guests and we love them.

Mandy

Mandy

Billy is at the top of the list today; he has an application pending. He has turned into a total toyhound, loves any and all toys now. He will be delivered on Friday, along with a bunch of toys to start him on his new career as loving greyhound pet in his new forever home. As always, we wish Billy and his new humans many years of love, happiness, and good health. Billy has earned it, he is a beautiful dog and has waited patiently for his chance.

Mandy has been returned, another example of how to lose your home without it being your fault. This case is a little more tragic, Mandy went out about a year ago, to a beautiful couple from Maine, whose dad was in the service. His wife died suddenly and completely unexpectedly and wasn’t even discovered for days. As his job is on a ship, he is required to be away from home, so, he had to give her up. Mandy is a sweet young red girl, cat tolerant, human loving and has in home experience. A perfect ready to move in pet, and we’d like to get her back into a home as soon as we can, she’s a sweet girl and has no understanding of what happened to her.

Keene

Keene

Jackson is looking for a stay at home human. He is white, tall, gorgeous, but very insecure. He would do well with humans that work from home, are home a lot, or are even house bound. He is a beautiful dog, very friendly, cat tolerant, but gets emotionally attached and does not like it when he’s left alone. Dusty’s leg is coming along very nicely, she’s scheduled to be spayed this week, and will be ready very soon to go out to her forever home. Scarlett is waiting to see if she’s going to share her life with another greyhound, if not, she will also be available for adoption. Keene has just arrived, he’s two years old, big, clumsy, handsome, and energetic. This big white and red hound loves to run and play, he’s fast, but wasn’t too good on turns, he likes the straightaway, but will make a fine addition to any household that is looking for the anti-stereotype greyhound couch potato.

Well, that about takes care of it for the last week in September, have a safe week, don’t bite anyone, and once again, congratulations to Billy, our living proof that good things do come to those who wait patiently.
