John’s Happy Tales Report
8/26/15 Mostly Happy Tales From Inside And Around The Fog Kennel And Special News Breaking At Any Minute From Michelle’S Special Surprise.

The previous highlight of the past couple weeks was sweet corn and peaches are in up north and they were fabulous. Next month, apples, but all this has been eclipsed by Michelle’s news, which should be posted anytime between today and tomorrow. I can’t say anything about it because I don’t know what it is, but I have been guaranteed that it is big news, and one of us will break it as soon as either she can or I find out about it.

Last week’s not John blog had a lot of activity with adoptions, as far as I know they are all doing well except Max. Apparently he escaped from the new owners, but they didn’t bother to even call us, Max was found and his picture posted and he was recognized and picked up by Michelle. For a myriad of reasons they still hadn’t contacted us that the dog was missing, so Michelle called them. I won’t get into the rest, the lesson from this being that if you have a problem, especially with a lost hound or one that isn’t fitting into your household, please call us, we will pick him up and find the right home for him. If either party is unhappy it’s not going to work, please contact us, we support our adoptees for the rest of their lives, that’s why we have ten and eleven year old dogs in our kennel, things happen, all you have to do is notify us and we’ve always been able to work something out. It’s not about us and it’s not about you, it’s about the hounds.

I missed the adoption fair at War Memorial Auditorium but the brief report that I got was that it was very well attended, we got to show off our hounds and everyone had a good time. We have a few items on the calendar for the next couple months, one being the bbq meet and greet at the Flamingo Nursery, which was a rousing success last time, and the Quiet Waters Park Shindig we had last fall worked out well, even with a few skinned knees, and we’re going to try to do it again. Details will be coming up. I am severely distracted waiting for the news of the day, which should be forthcoming at any time now. So that will be it for the moment unless I get additional information, this concludes this week’s late version of the blog, but standby for bulletins or news from the Michelle of the Week, either added here or on a special note, so stay tuned to the website.

And finally, Michelle’s surprise:

I am beat. Went to the middle of the state today and came back with three female greyhounds, one is three and the others are two. I haven’t had time to put together the details on them. One of the two year olds is the most beautiful blue fawn color I have ever seen. It’s like a fawn with silver highlights.

I also had another stop and have come home with two Seven Week Old (Young?) greyhound puppies. Both girls. Both brindle. Both cuter than anything. one was the runt of the litter. You just want to carry them around all the time. They bite ears and romp and then fall down and take a nap.
