John’s Happy Tales Report
8/14/17 Mostly Happy Tales From Inside And Around The FoG Kennel.

One of the few times in history that we don’t lead with a greyhound story. We are in possession of two mixed breeds that were dumped in West Broward last week and ended up in Michelle’s care. I guess this is one of those ‘I didn’t start it but I have to finish it’ deals, where we offered to help and now we have two non-greys that we’d like to find a home for. It’s a longer story than that, but you can check the website and/or Scott’s ‘Dusty and Me’ blog and get the whole story. Bottom line is we have two beautiful abandoned, what may have been ‘bait’ dogs that need homes. We have all the information, details, and even pictures, so if you know someone who might be interested, please contact us, we want to personally make sure they end up in a good home. Roscoe is the boy, and Lilly is the girl.Wow, what timing, took a break to cut the grass before the afternoon monsoon and finished eight seconds before the downpour. Life is good in the slow lane.

In other kennel news, our girl Fufu is now Lia, she was adopted earlier this week to Leon and Tia from Coconut Creek, she has been delivered and has even mastered the staircase and from all reports so far, this lucky girl has found herself a fantastic home. Thank you, Leon and Tia, for taking one our people into your hearts and home and best wishes for a long and happy life filled with joy, love, and good health for you all. You can catch this action on Scott’s Blog, even some video too. Logan and Frozen also got some nibbles and bites, but no other adoptions so far as of today. There are two more dogs ready to come into our kennel this week, and, as always, for up to the minute information on any and all of the dogs, you can contact Michelle or Jerry at the kennel website, email, phone, smoke signal, whatever it takes, and they can answer just about any questions you have about any or our inmates, or greyhounds as pets in general.

On Saturday, August 19th, we will be at the Pet Supermarket in Sunrise, 2696 N. University Drive. They are doing a rescue day with a number of different groups, starting at eleven o’clock. Sunday, August 20th is the annual Animal Adoption Fair at War Memorial Auditorium in Ft. Lauderdale, from 10 A.M. until 5 P.M. As usual, we welcome any volunteers for either or both events, just contact Michelle.

Ok, I’m off to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and the rest of the Rust Belt for ten days for a food fest with a bunch of cousins of the Polish variety. They do know how to do food and have a good time. Don’t forget about our ‘guest’ greyhounds Roscoe and Lilly, any help in finding them a good home would be greatly appreciated. I’m anticipating that Scott’s Blog will be doing a fine job of keeping you informed during my absence, so stay tuned, thank you for all your support over the years, and August will be nearly gone before I return and we can start thinking about some nice outside gatherings again. Have a greyt week and don’t bite anyone.
