Merry Christmas to everyone, have a beautiful holiday and may all of you and your families and animals have a Happy and Healthy 2016. Bless all the beautiful dogs greyhound and other, who have the good fortune to have a loving home, and may all those that don’t have one, get one within the next year. Big order, but we can always wish for the best. If anyone has a crate that they are not using, Michelle would be happy to take it off your hands, the 42” kind that we use. I have very little information for this week; everyone is running around with their seasonal chores I think. There was a meet and greet at our favorite Pet Supermarket yesterday but have not received any information on it. I believe Mandy was our little representative. I have received word from Michelle that she would be available to deliver a dog even on Christmas Day, something to consider if you are looking for one of the best Christmas gifts to give, but don’t forget, a pet is not just a gift for Christmas, but a gift for life. After watching the politicians parade on the airwaves the past couple months, the more I am convinced that I need another shirt that says ‘The more people I meet, the better I like my dog’. Simple unconditional love is so refreshing these days compared to dealing with the world and it’s pounding of the drums stress. It’s nice to have three wagging tails to greet me when I get home, they don’t care what I’ve done or haven’t done, I am their world and they give me a sincere royal welcome, whether I’ve been gone for the weekend or just to the mailbox, it’s a greyt feeling to be loved.

We have dogs moving, even as we speak, or write. Currently there are nine of our ‘people’ here, waiting, with their bags already packed (they don’t have many material possessions), and ready to go to a loving home. Always in the old Hialeah kennel we had more older retired dogs, usually four or five years old, maybe a few returns a bit older, but hardly any pups. People were always looking for the youngsters. Now it is seemingly the opposite, we are getting a bunch of ‘not quite ready for prime time’ ex-racers, ready to take on the retired life. So, for those of you looking for youngsters, or ‘Yutes’ as they were called in ‘My Cousin Vinny’, you will have to look no further than our kennel. We have five beautiful girls right at two years old, and two young guys, same age, and so if you are into the young at age as well as young at heart, we’ve got the greyhound for you. Three of them have tested as cat tolerant, which is a bonus for many households. Sweetheart, Mandy, Sierra, Probie, and Ginny have just arrived, oops, Probie and Ginny do not count, one is already on a home trial, and the other has an application already, so there’s currently three girls, but more will be arriving shortly. Joey and Doc are the new youngster guys and we have a couple of retired boys, Max and Charlie, available. I love this information in real time, sometimes by the end of the sentence, the information has changed. There, that names them all and gives our excellent webmaster a chance to include some pictures if he wants to or has them yet. I have also been informed that these hounds can also be seen on Pet Finder. As always, for all of the complete information on any of them, you can contact Michelle or Jerry at the kennel or website and they will be glad to discuss any of them and give you all the information on them.

Ok, I think I’ve got most of it covered. Rocky is in his new home and we’re keeping whatever we have crossed for him. He’s a beautiful dog, but he needs to be in a home with certain specifications because he has been known to have disagreements with other animals, so we’re hoping that he finds the perfect conditions, because he’s going to be a fabulous pet as long as he doesn’t run into any Odell Beckham Jr.s of the dog world if you know what I mean. Don’t forget, if you have any extra crates, the kennel can use them, or anything donated for that matter is always appreciated. Michelle will deliver on Christmas Day, what a life changing event that would be for someone, a Christmas gift of love that will keep on giving love for years to come, if you have a notion about that. We’ll keep Rocky in our prayers, along with all of our greyt greyhound community, humans and four legs included, thanks for supporting us throughout the years, or even year, if you are new. From us to you, have a beautiful and safe Christmas.

Merry Christmas Jerry and Michelle. Anya and I are enjoying time with our family, but we sure miss our times with the Greys! We could not be more excited to be home and welcoming Ginny into our home. I think we have told just about everyone about her.

Thank you for all you do and we will see you and the dogs when we get back.

    Warmly,
    April
