12/14/15 Mostly Happy Tales From Inside And Around The FoG Kennel.

Doc

Doc

Christmas is near, so have no fear and go grab a beer (root), new greyhounds are here. Finally, we are back to a full house again. Not quite the same as the old days meaning of full house, when it meant about four dozen, but what we lack in quantity, we almost make up for in quality. If you were looking recently and the cupboards were bare, please check back with us again, we have some new people (the greys are our ‘people’) and they are youngsters. Michelle has them posted already on the website and Pet Finder, so you can check them out there or give us a call, we have answers to all your questions and maybe even a couple that you don’t have. According to my sources we some new young blood, both boys and girls, and they are awesome. Don’t forget that you can meet them in person at the kennel in Sunrise and if you are close enough, there’s a good chance we can bring them to your adobe to meet you there at your convenience. Hopefully they will be cat tested today or tomorrow and will be ready to go. The calendars are sold out already, thank you for your participation if you participated, and if you didn’t thank you anyway, just for being you. Michelle is still under the weather and as always, would welcome any help or volunteers around the kennel.

Mandy

Mandy

We have five boys available, Charlie, Max, Rocky, and new additions Joey and Doc. Sweetheart, Mandy, and Ginny are the new girls. Mandy went out to a potential home almost before she got here, she is young, sweet, and beautiful, but she wants no part of walking on a leash. I don’t blame her, I feel the same way. She has been examined, x-rayed, and tested and there is nothing physically wrong with her, she just doesn’t want to go for walks at this stage of her life. So if you are looking for a couch potato partner, someone who likes to lay around and relax while you do the same, this might be just the girl for you. So, when you come across a dog that has been ‘returned’ don’t automatically write them off, it could be something as simple as in Mandy’s case, just lazy, likes to lounge around. Of course, if you feel the need, you can always do a background check on them. We did actually have one greyhound a couple years ago that turned out to be a cereal killer. He was an accomplished professional counter surfer, he knew what he was looking for, waited until no one was around, and then took down a box of Capt. Crunch and ate it all. When questioned about it, he indicated no knowledge of the incident and showed absolutely no remorse when shown the destroyed box. Some of them are like that. Ok, time to fly, have a greyt week, come check out our adoptables in person, either at our kennel or your place; you may make a fast friend for life. What better feeling, especially around the holidays, than to make a difference in a life and give one a loving home, believe me, you will be rewarded many times over with unconditional love from them for the rest of their lives.
