John’s Happy Tales Report
10/26/15 Mostly Happy Tales From Inside And Around The FoG Kennel.

luna_costume1Greetings from the FoG kennel, five days before Halloween. We were at the Pet Supermarket for the Howl-oween party; Michelle was accompanied by Luna, who did double duty as a greeter and also an entrant in the costume contest. Luna was dressed as a Greyhound Bus and Michelle was a common tourist. They won second place, so we even have some talent in our kennel. Luna is our four year old black girl that is a return due to a divorce in her family. Not only is she a little doll, she’s already a veteran of house living, and now she has a second place in the costume contest added to her resume. This girl is a perfect fit in any household, including those with cats, so you might want to check her out, she is a real beauty. There were three adoption groups at the party and a good time was had by all, and there were plenty of animals as well as humans. It also looks like Ms. Chloe is about ready to be adopted. She’s the girl with the big cast and as soon as she gets healed, she will have a forever home waiting for her, I know where she’s going and she’s one lucky dog. We also have two new dogs coming in, so stay tuned for that, I will report on them as soon as I get the information.

Next event coming up is on Nov. 7TH at the Ft. Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium, there’s also a meet and greet at the Pet Supermarket, so Michelle is looking for a little help with this, if you can spare some time to cover the Supermarket meet and greet, contact her and let her know.

A separate item, they are putting together the CALENDAR ORDER this coming week, if you would like a greyhound calendar, please email Michelle as soon as you can. They have both wall and desk calendars available and you can check with her for all the details.

That’s pretty much all the news that is news for this week. I was traveling in Miami Springs yesterday and spotted a greyhound being walked. I never pass them up. I found out that she is one of our old alumni. Her name is Betsy, she’s about ten years old, looks great, and the owner’s son actually was one of our youth volunteers. Very good people according to Michelle, and as I said, Betsy is in good shape for being a senior citizen. Remember, Halloween is coming up, the greys don’t all know that the monsters aren’t real, they just know they’re usually loud and scary, so be careful with walks and doors and hopefully we all have a Happy and Safe Halloween.
