John’s Happy Tails Report
3/11/13 Mostly Happy Tales From Inside And Around The Kennel And Sometimes Secondhand When You’re Not There.

This will be the first effort from not being at the kennel for the entire weekend, due to circumstances beyond my control but originated by myself. We’ll have to depend on secondhand reports and interviews from the dogs themselves which are not always reliable. First off, I do know for a fact that there is a gathering at the Royal Pig Pub and Kitchen this coming Thursday from six in the evening until eight o’clock. It’s a twenty dollar donation which gets you a couple drinks, appetizers and five raffle tickets, please, at least one human per dog requested. The last one at the Field was great, so even those of us without a greyhound date will have a greyt time. The address is 350 E. Las Olas Boulevard, if you have an extra greyhound, I will be glad to sit with him or her.

CRT Dainty

CRT Dainty

On we go to the real reason for my blog existence. As previously stated, my information is not official, just considered the gospel according to John and it’s not even the Big John, but it will give you a pretty accurate picture of what’s happening. Since I didn’t see AT Verminesjamin or CRT Britney, I am assuming that they have left the building. Turbo Eduardo told me that they both eloped together, but he’s brand new and doesn’t know what he’s talking about anyway, I’m pretty sure they were adopted and out on home trial. Backwood Rosetta, CRT Lady, Nimby Cokolat, and NFL Post have been delivered also. Rockdown Rex and CRT Dainty, also have applications but haven’t been delivered, Ms. Dainty is now known as Luna, which we’re using around the kennel to get her used to her beautiful new name. Congratulations to the people who adopted her, to the rest of the world, sorry, I think you missed out on a real special little girl here. While I was away this weekend, along with CRT Britney and AT Verminesjamin, I believe Littledebbiecake, HL’s Gauge, and KB’s Powerpup were also adopted, but not delivered yet. So, with my absence the world didn’t end after all, in fact five new adoptions, so it was an excellent weekend after all.

ICU Claybourne

ICU Claybourne

One return to report, ICU Claybourne was returned Sunday afternoon and he’s not a happy camper at this moment. He’s just in so I don’t have his story yet, but we’ll be doing what we can to get him in a better mood this week and into his real forever home.

We had four new arrivals during the week. Turbo Eduardo has just arrived off what looks like a brief but successful racing career. He speaks no English, but that’s not unusual, he doesn’t speak Turkish, French, or Cat either. He’s a smaller two year old brindle guy. Algoa Nike is a big girl, over sixty five pounds, beautiful red coat, four years old, was an excellent racer, and I think I’m in love already. KB’s Natalia, a golden fawn three year old girl, good racer, and a little flirt, though she’s only been here a couple days, so probably going to be an outgoing type. Last but only because he just came in, Boc’s Mango Max, four year old male, white and red, not real big guy, but excellent racer. A comment straight from the kennel manager’s mouth, ‘’don’t worry, he won’t be here too long’’, so you heard it here first, for those of you who judge on outward appearances, I think he’s one of those. I will find out tonight when I meet him.

Once again I have no dirt on the regulars since I wasn’t there to watch them. Backwood Rosetta is doing fine received another update and she has proven to be excellent for keeping ducks off the property but charges a belly rub for the service. I can remind you to feel free anytime to give us an update or story on your grey, we love to see how the alumni are doing and make sure you instruct the powers that be (Michelle and Jerry) to forward it on to John, which they are getting much better at. With floors to clean, a dog to take to the doctor, and turnout tonight, it’s time to hang up the keyboard for now. Will hopefully be back next week with whatever escaped me this weekend plus more on our beautiful greys.
